SA  312/9   [50

New Zealand won by 50 runs.

Player of the Match
Rachin Ravindra .

With the help of Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen, South Africa appeared to be holding their own for a while, but chasing 363 runs was an enormous undertaking. But Mitchell Santner's spell, which altered the outcome of the match, was the game-changing moment. He turned the tide in favor of New Zealand by taking three vital wickets, including those of Heinrich Klaasen, Rassie, and Bavuma. Despite David Miller's unwavering determination at one end, where he finished with an undefeated 100, the Proteas lost by 50 runs as the lower order collapsed around him. Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson's outstanding hundreds helped New Zealand build a strong total in the first innings, setting the stage for their triumph.accompanied with a brief appearance by Glenn Phillips. New Zealand advances to the final, where they will play against India in Dubai.

Following their decision to bat first, New Zealand started out steadily, managing the initial bursts from Lungi Ngidi and Marco Jansen, who were known for bowling short and aggressive lengths. But as the openers got comfortable, they started to take advantage of scoring opportunities, and Rachin Ravindra was especially at ease. Will Young was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi, who made South Africa's first breakthrough with skillful pace changes. After that, Rachin was joined by Kane Williamson, who together put up a strong batting performance that placed pressure on the Proteas bowlers. Although both hitters successfully rotated the strike and took no needless chances, Rachin persisted in attacking even after the Powerplay. A solid foundation was established by their historic 164-run partnership, with Rachin scoring a well-deserved century before Kagiso Rabada eventually left the crease. After Rachin left, Williamson picked his speed and reached his own century before Wiaan Mulder dismissed him. South Africa was trying to get back on track when Daryl Mitchell hit a crucial 49 from 37 balls. Phillips, who at first struggled with timing but quickly found his stride and was able to smash boundaries at will to add late momentum, gave the innings a final lift. He ensured that New Zealand scored an impressive 362 runs by finishing undefeated at 49 off 27 balls.

The pitch wasn't quite settling under the lights, and sporadic deliveries kept grabbing and holding up, so it was always going to be difficult to chase anything above 350. Temba Bavuma settled into a groove after a cautious start, and Rassie's graceful 69 was a masterclass in poise, skillfully managed and brimming with style. Santner, however, left his mark by eliminating Rassie and Bavuma before freeing Klaasen.

The result appeared certain by the time Miller started to settle into his rhythm. He nevertheless made it to a well-earned century. Ultimately, South Africa was left wondering what would have happened if one of their other batters had stayed with him all the way through.

Brief scores: South Africa 312/9 in 50 overs (David Miller 100*; Mitchell Santner 3/43) lost to New Zealand 362/6 in 50 overs (Rachin Ravindra 108; Lungi Ngidi 3/72) by 50 runs.
